“After our initial meeting with Econ Group we immediately knew we wanted to work with Mike and Marcel. The combination of their thoughtful and calm disposition coupled with their meticulous attention to detail made them an excellent fit to build our dream home. They understood our goals of building a home that fused a modern design aesthetic and sustainability. Econ’s technical knowledge and experience in building high performance building is unmatched, but what we appreciated most in our journey in designing and building our Passive House with Mike and Marcel, is that they always sought out the most practical solution, without compromise. We would not hesitate to work with Econ Group and their fabulous team again.”

Modernist Passive House on Vancouver’s North Shore
Like a sculpture, this Passive House Certified Building sits on the south-facing slope of Vancouver’s North Shore. A primary dwelling and a secondary suite are housed in this highly energy-efficient structure. Large high-performance glass sliders connect to outdoor spaces on all three levels offering views of downtown Vancouver and the Burrard Inlet. Comfort and air quality are guaranteed through a combination of natural stack-ventilation and a mechanical heat-recovery ventilation system. Modern, minimalist detailing together with sustainably sourced materials result in a timeless, resilient, and environmentally low-impact building.
